Nikos Dionysopoulos, E.E.DI.P I

Nikos Dionysopoulos graduated from the Department of History and Archeology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He continued his studies with a scholarship at the Department of History of Art at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade, from which he received a Master’s Degree in Byzantine and Medieval Serbian Art. He worked on his doctoral dissertation at the University of Thessaly, Department of History, Archeology, and Social Anthropology, on: “Portraits of Secular Donors in Mural Painting of Mount Athos (14th- early 16th C.). The Historical and Ideological Dimension of the Iconography of Orthodox Ruler in the Athonite Environment”. From 2002 to 2009 he was transferred from  Greek Secondary Education to the Department of Modern Greek Studies at the Faculty of Philology,  University of Belgrade, where he taught Byzantine culture, Modern Greek literature, and translation of Serbian literary texts into Greek. Since 2017 he has been teaching at the School of Fine Arts, Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the University of Western Macedonia (Laboratory Teaching Staff member). His research interests focus mainly on the iconographic, historical, and cultural approaches to the work of art. He has published articles in Greek and foreign scientific journals and has participated in conferences in Greece and abroad.

Thomas Zografos, E.E.DI.P I

Thomas Zografos was born in 1963 in Drosopigi in Florina. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Athens (1981-1986) in the studios of Giannis Moralis, Dimitris Kalamaras and Dimitris Mytaras. His artistic work has been presented in both solo and group exhibitions in Greece and also abroad. He is the author of textbooks for the Ministry of Education that relate to the artistic activities of first, second, third and fourth grades of the Elementary School and all-day kindergartens. He has worked as a Professor of Art in Secondary Education and as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Primary Education of the Faculty of Education of Florina. Moreover, he was an Artistic Director of the Art Laboratory of Kozani. He has written papers and published in journals and conferences, with topics relating to Art, Pedagogy and New Technologies. He is a member of the Board of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Florina.

Theodoros Zyrpiadis

Scientific Educational Personnel of the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the School of Fine Arts of the University of Western Macedonia with the subject ‘’Painting’’. Theodoros Zyrpiadis graduated from the Painting Department of the Carrara School of Fine Arts in Italy. The subject of the dissertation was Folk painting in the region of Western Macedonia through the work of the painter Nikolaos Papagianis from the village of Kleisoura (1870-1953). Since 2003 he permanently appointed public education. From 2009 until 2011 he taught as a contractor (ΠΔ407/80), in the Laboratories of Lifelong Learning and in 2017 with a transfer to the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the University of Western Macedonia. He has presented his artistic work in individual and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. His works are in public and private collections. The object of study and research focuses mainly on the technology of materials and constructions.

Stella Kasidou

Stella Kasidou holds a PhD in Pedagogy from the Department of Primary Education, of the University of Western Macedonia and holder of a Master’s Degree from the same Department. She has participated in many scientific conferences and has published in prestigious Greek-language and foreign-language scientific journals. She served for 30 years in primary education, where she was a former Head of Cultural Affairs and Artistic matches, Head of School Activities and School Counselor. Today, she teaches as a Laboratory Teaching Staff (E.Di.P.) at Department of Fine and Applied Arts, of U.O.W.M., courses that lead to the educational competency of the students, with a focus on the teaching of the visual arts and the pedagogical applications of the laboratory, namely the transformation of the visual suggestions of the students into a teaching proposal. Her research interests also include areas of: local history, local artistic repository, image and ideology, photography and children’s design; parameters she explored through archival material and semiotic approaches. She is the author of the book: (Myth-)HISTORIES OF COVERPAGES. A contribution to the history of textbooks.

Sotiris Liourkas, E.E.DI.P I

Sotiris Lioukras was born in Florina in 1962. He graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Athens in 1985 (Diploma in Painting, studio of Yannis Moralis). He has made eight solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. He now lives and works in Florina.

Christos Tsotsos , E.E.DI.P. I

Christos Tsotsos is a sculptor and was born in 1965, in Florina. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts, in the Department of Sculpture, under professor George Lappas, from where he graduated with honors. He taught in Secondary Education from 1995 to 2009. He has six personal exhibitions and has participated in various art activities. In his works he focuses on the human figure through clay, plaster and metal. Today, he teaches sculpture at the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, University of Western Macedonia.
