Η Φωτεινή Καλλέ γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1978. Σπούδασε Ζωγραφική στην ΑΣΚΤ της Αθήνας και Performance Design and Practice στο Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design του Λονδίνου με υποτροφία από το Ίδρυμα Ωνάση. Είναι διδάκτωρ του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης του Τμήματος Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών με υποτροφία από το ΙΚΥ. Η διδακτορική της διατριβή διαπραγματεύεται το ζήτημα της «ζωντανής τέχνης» και τη σχέση της με πολιτικές και παιδαγωγικές θεωρίες και πρακτικές,. Έχει παρουσιάσει το έργο της στο Κρατικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης, Θεσσαλονίκη 2019, στην Athens Biennale 2015-2017, στο Diverse Universe Performance Festival, Εσθονία 2015, Month of Performance Art, Βερολίνο 2014, 2ο Διεθνές Εικαστικό Φεστιβάλ Πάτρας, 2013, κ.ά. Έχει επίσης λάβει μέρος σε συμμετοχικά εργαστήρια στην Ευρώπη και την Αμερική που διαπραγματεύονται το σώμα ως φορέα πολιτισμού, την έννοια της ουτοπίας, την σημασία του χώρου και του αντικειμένου στην ζωντανή τέχνη (La Pocha Nostra performance art laboratory, PAI, Σαν Φρανσίσκο 2011, Nezaket Ekici long duration performances, University of the Arts, Βερολίνο 2013, κ.ά.). Eίναι ιδρυτικό μέλος της καλλιτεχνικής ομάδας The Girls και του ASFA BBQ performance festival. Το έργο της κυμαίνεται ανάμεσα σε εγκαταστάσεις, performances και βίντεο.

Fotini Kalle was born in Athens in 1978. She studied painting in the Athens School of Fine Arts and Performance Design and Practice at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London with a scholarship from the Onassis foundation. She holds a PhD from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Visual and Applied Arts with scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation. Her PhD research negotiates “live art” and its affiliation with political and pedagogical theories and practices. She has presented her work at State Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki 2019, Athens Biennale 2015-2017, Diverse Universe Performance Festival, Estonia 2015, Month of Performance Art, Berlin 2014, 2cd International Visual Arts Festival of Patras, 2013, and other. She also participated in workshops in Europe and the USA reflecting on the idea of the body as a cultural vehicle, the concept of utopia, the importance of the space and the object in live art (La Pocha Nostra performance art laboratory, PAI, San Francisco 2011, Nezaket Ekici long duration performances, University of the Arts, Berlin 2013 and others). She is a founding member of the performance group The Girls and the ASFA BBQ performance festival. Her work ranges from installations, performances and video.
